Angel Falls

The world’s highest waterfall is situated in Eastern Venezulea in South America. Its known as the Angel Falls.It has been named after Jimmy Angel who was the first person to fly over the falls.
Angel Falls discovered in 1935 while on a flying mission.
The common Spanish name "Salto Ángel" derives from his surname.        




It hurtles down from a height of 960m(Book) (on net-979m), which is sixteen times more than the height of the famous Niagara Falls. It is situated in Border of Ontario, Canada & New York, U.S.A.

Angel Falls also inspired the setting of the Disney animated film Up (2009) although, in the film, the location was called Paradise Falls instead of Angel Falls.
